The steel-stringed harp of Chris Caswell lends an ancient flavor to this collection of songs celebrating the winter season. The contemporary arrangements, of familiar seasonal melodies drawn from the 1300s through the 1900s, blend Caswell's Celtic harp with guitar, fiddle, flute, uillean pipes, cello, whistle, oboe and percussion. It is masterfully co-produced by Caswell and Bill Coulter - whose impressive list of performance/producing credits include albums for Windham Hill and other prominent labels.
