Emilio Kauderer

The man behind the scenes for two successful projects by Calido ("Tropical Nights" and "Tropical Breezes") is also an artist in his own right. He's well known in the Los Angeles film music community, and since coming to the U.S. in 1988, Emilio has scored many movie projects including "A Place In This World", a 1993 Oscar nominee for Best Foreign Film, and more recently "The Homecoming" for HBO/Cinemax.

Emilio has completed his first feature film project for Paramount/Viacom and "Same Love, Same Rain", a movie made in Argentina that Emilio recently scored will be featured at the upcoming Sundance Film Festival.

The Washington Opera Company has chosen a work for Musical Theater written by Emilio and will be performing it at the Kennedy Center and at the Pasadena Civic Center. Emilio is also currently involved in a project for latin superstar Ricky Martin.

One of Argentina's finest composers and performing artists, Emilio Kauderer was raised in Buenos Aires on a blend of classical piano, tango music and American rock-and-roll. Recipient of a five-year scholarship from the University of Moscow, he has served as composer/arranger for Holland America Cruise Lines, while working with such notable artists as Placido Domingo, Chick Corea, Nancy Wilson and Jimmy Cliff.
